FastPark's 2nd Annual Food Drive

Sept. 09, 2009 – Fast Park is partnering with Feeding America again for our 2nd Annual Food Drive. Please help our efforts to end hunger in your area by donating a non-perishable food item anytime between September 14th and October 11th either when you enter or exit our lot! All items will be donated to local food banks that are members of Feeding America, the largest food bank network in the country. Fast Park will donate $1 for every pound of non-perishable food donated by customers. The recession has taken a severe toll on the food pantries and soup kitchens this year. Food banks across the country are struggling to keep up with demand. According to Feeding America, the demand for food assistance has risen 30 percent in the past year. “By donating one dollar for every pound of f`ood collected, we are increasing our impact to the Food Banks during what is a difficult time for so many.” Last year, Fast Park collected more than 5,000 pounds of food.
